The work:
La Belle au bois dormant (2023) is an interactive work that allows the viewer to engage in an immersive experience through the use of artificial intelligence. By lying down on a bed created by the artist, the visitor is confronted with their own vision projected onto a monitor. The intention is to be carried away into a dreamlike universe. It is the visitor who initiates the process by writing a sentence on a tablet, which is then reworked by the AI, capable of materializing the visitor’s emotions through the reading of their handwriting.

The artist:
Giuliana Cunéaz (Aoste, 1959) est une artiste spécialisée dans l’art des nouveaux médias. Diplômée de l’Académie des Beaux-Arts de Turin, elle utilise divers médias artistiques, allant de l’installation vidéo à la sculpture, en passant par la photographie, la peinture et les écrans peints (screen painting). Depuis le début des années 2000, elle réalise ses œuvres grâce à l’infographie. En 2004, elle figure parmi les premiers artistes à explorer la technologie 3D dans le cadre d’une recherche où la science et la technologie occupent une place centrale. Ses expérimentations combinent les éléments virtuels et matériels, donnant naissance à de nombreuses œuvres plastiques ancrées dans différents domaines d’investigation.
